Shipping Guidelines
To ensure that our chocolates arrive at their destination in the same shape that they leave our facility, we use insulated boxes and gel packs during most of the year to prevent damage from melting. During the cooler months, the chocolates can generally be shipped via Fed Ex Ground or 2nd Day Air for minimal expense. During warmer months, the chocolates will need to be shipped via Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air. Please note that Fed Ex Ground can take 2-5 days for delivery.
Fed Ex does not ship to P.O. boxes so the customer must provide a physical street address for delivery. If there is a suite number, apartment number, or building number, please include that on the order form.
We cannot be held responsible for packages that are undeliverable due to a wrong address or missing information. Due to the fragile and perishable nature of the product, we highly recommend that someone be physically present to accept the package, whether someone is present at home or the delivery is shipped to a workplace. The insulated boxes will protect the chocolates if they are out for a few hours on a doorstep, but it is not recommended. If the chocolates are shipped to a warm climate and the recipient is not at home, the chocolates will not last an additional day in the hot temperature of the Fed Ex delivery vehicle - so it is best to make sure the recipient knows to expect the delivery! We are unable to ship to destinations outside of the United States. Additional shipping charges are applicable for orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
Ordering Information
We ship all of our chocolates Monday through Wednesday ONLY and, at request, Thursdays via Next Day. These restrictions are to make sure the chocolate arrives in good condition, due to its fragile nature. We do not allow more than 2 days of transit time so we cannot ship a package over the weekend where it would sit additional days in the shipping warehouse. Orders are shipped according to the order in which they are received and usually ship within 24 to 48 hours of being placed, unless otherwise specified. Again, please remember that orders placed on Thursday or Friday via 2nd Day Air will not ship until the following Monday. If there are special shipping instructions, such as Saturday delivery or a specified delivery date, please specify this information in the "shipping intructions" box on the order review page. We guarantee that the chocolates will leave our facility in peak condition. If you are unsatisfied with your products we will gladly refund your purchase price, not including shipping charges.
Pricing
Shipping charges are calculated depending on weight, time of year (temperature) and destination. During the ordering process, you will be able to view shipping options and charges for your location and your specific order.
Please note that all pricing is subject to change.
We will not be held responsible for delays caused by situations beyond our control, including but not limited to weather or mechanical failure.
